Module 10 Videos

Questions and Topics for Your Blog Posting:
1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.
 I didn't have certain reasons for the videos i choose I just picked the first two from the top of the list. 

2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
There was things that the videos discussed that the reading did too. Both discussed the building that are created and I feel that them are the most important because that is basically all that the artwork consist of

2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text? 
As I said in the previous question they both discuss the importance of the Islamic buildings and how they came to exist. 

3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?
 They both share the background on the Islamic culture and the effect on the art.

Right and Left Hand


1. What was it like using your hand as subject matter for a drawing?
It was different the hardest artwork I had to do so far because I had to use my right.

2. What media did you select - pencil or charcoal? Why?
I choose a pencil because thats easy for me and it has a eraser for my mistakes.

3. How did it feel to create a drawing with your non-dominant hand?
That was the hardest part of the project.

4. Compare and contrast your final drawings. Do you think they are successful studies?
I don't really like my final work it shows how much of a artist I am not.

5. Would you consider using your non-dominant hand to create artwork in the future?
I m use to using my left have and i will continue using just that hand.

Module 9

1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above
I choose two particular videos because these two artist are artist that have been talked about throughout my years in school they are familiar so I  felt there was room to learn more about them.
.
2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
The first video The Drawing of Michelangelo talks about how Michelangelo never allowed others to view his work and today if he knew he would not allow us still to see his work. And the video also discuss how he started the 16th Chapel. 
The second video I picked to watch was Leonard da Vinci: The mind of the Renaissance. This video discuss Leonardo impact during the Renaissance and his unfinished work. And the different art he went threw.


2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
Both reading and videos discuss the artist time during the Renaissance. And what happened during the Era.

3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts? The video is like a reading of the chapters.

MODULE SEVEN

3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of Architecture?
4. Why did you choose the films that you watched?

1.The first video I watched "Imperial Rome, Ostia, and Portus: Ancient Architecture and Technology" This movie goes through a program of the type of technology that is used with architecture that reflect on architecture in Rome, Ostia and Portus.  The video show s  and discuss the city  and different historical site in the countries. Also explaining the kinds of organization
The other movie I choose to watch was "Frank Gehry: Architecture as Art ". This video shows how his work comes together and is created. The start to finish from scratching the work to the material used to create it.

2. Both the video and the reading goes over the different of architecture. 

3. The films gives greater depth in to the topic and different kind and explanations. But the reading explains and good detail on what is being exp[lain on the topic. 

4. I choose the first video because it had something to do on Rome architecture, I like anything to do with the history of Rome because i feel it is very rich with history. And the other video I choose was because I just wanted to understand the similarity of arcthitecture and art.

You went the same route I went so that let me know I did mine right. And I love Marilyn Monroe I wish I would of thought to use her like you did. Great choices with the pictures overall good job.

2. Yes I liked the pictures that was used there different then what I used. I did not see other elements and principles in the photos I wasnt looking. 
3. No there was no photos used that I used. But the pictures used were very nice.
4. Yes I loved the picture with the man siting on a stick from brandonwa11.blogspot.com. . I would like to know how the artist came up with the piece and what they were trying to capture.
5. Reading the other classmate work show me how they understood the work their eyes. And let me know that everyone is not artist and are learning like I am.
6. I didnt have a problem with the reviews on my work.

Module Six

1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.

1. I enjoyed the Glass and Ceramic video the most. I loved watching the process of created the glass there is so much work into creating and the outcome of the work is so beautiful. The through the Eyes of a Sculpture discuss the history sculpting and what was used in created the piece then and now. It went fro the using everything from their hands to dynamite to to create. And the place the pastoral sculpture started.   

2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
2. The reading describe both sculpturing, craving, clay and glass as well as the video. Each material talks about the history and share work that explains. The video goes deeper into the topic of the work and shows how it is created.

3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the topics: Sculpture, Installation, and Craft?
3. Like I stated before I enjoyed the video on working with glass. The breakdown help me get a clear picture on the creative part.
