Module 15 Video

1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.

The first video: Greenberg on Art Criticism: This video explains Greenberg's reflections of his career and some art criticism by him as well. He also explains to the interviewer the relationship between modern art and the history of art. One of the most interesting things, the video taught me how  Greenberg's view on aesthetics and how artists are full of emotion and feeling while creating such work in order to portray the message they want in their artwork.

The second video: Italian Renaissance: This video explains an introduction to the Italian Renaissance with different examples of artwork from different artists. It shows the huge influence that Roman art had on this time period as well.   I  learned was that Donatello's sculpture of "David" is that even though the sculpture shows the balance on one legs the nudity sets aside the fact that it appears balanced.

2. Do the videos relate to the creation of your Art Criticism project? If yes, explain how. If no, explain why not.

Yes the video help explain what goes into critiquing Artwork.

3. What is your opinion of the films? Do they add depth to understanding of art criticism?

The video provided good examples to help understand.

Reflection

This project had a lot of working going into it to find art pieces that went with my topic. This was very interesting in creating this project it helped me understand what goes into the work it takes when a gallery puts together their pieces and exhibits.
